By the editors · 2 min readTonka bean dominates the scent, releasing a warm, slightly bitter almond-coumarin sweetness that feels like toasted hay drizzled with honey. Sandalwood arrives seconds later, its creamy, milky wood softening the tonka’s edges and creating a seamless blond-wood accord that stays close to the skin. The two materials circle each other rather than develop: tonka keeps dusting the air with soft, nutty sweetness while sandalwood supplies a steady cedar-rose undertone that prevents cloying heaviness. After thirty minutes the accord tightens into a suede-like skin scent, projecting a gentle, vanillic warmth that smells like the inside of a well-worn leather bag lined with powdered sugar. Projection stays within arm’s length for roughly five hours, then collapses to a faint, clean wood that still carries a trace of almond.
