By the editors · 2 min readSoftly opens on a candied ginger snap — bright, slightly hot, but quickly tempered by the orange-blossom and jasmine waiting in the heart. The transition is fast, and the perfume takes on a creamy, almost milky floral character within minutes of application.
Heliotrope is the quiet engine here, lending the florals a powdered, almond-marzipan softness that's hard to place at first. As the wear settles, sandalwood and vanilla move under the bouquet — vanilla rounded rather than sweet, sandalwood lactonic and warm — and a soft musk closes the dry-down. It reads cozy, slightly retro, and closer to a comfort scent than a statement floral.
