By the editors · 2 min readStrictly arrives as a dry, close-textured spice study. Cardamom and nutmeg define the opening with precision — sharp but not aggressive, more kitchen than marketplace. There is no citrus entry to soften the edges; it begins exactly where it means to continue.
Vetiver grounds the composition with its characteristic earthy dryness, pulling the spices downward into something more austere. Tonka bean contributes a faint almond-tinged warmth that stops the vetiver from becoming too stark. The two base materials create a tension between dry and soft.
The overall character is restrained and linear, projecting minimally but with good persistence. This suits cool weather and occasions where understatement matters.
