The juniper fades faster than expected and the heart settles quickly into amber: sweet, resinous, slightly powdery, sitting at medium weight rather than the heavy oriental amber the name suggests. Black musk underneath is the dirtier, more animalic kind, which keeps the amber from going cosmetic.
The arc is simple — citrus, amber, musk — but the projection is stronger than most of the line. Wears longer too. A nighttime cologne that wants colder weather and dim light, less a statement than a low warm hum.
