Oat & Cornflower 2018
Oat & Cornflower opens with a dry peppery snap and a suggestion of dried cornflower — fleeting, almost desiccated — before settling into what the fragrance is really about: a warm, floury accord of oat and hazelnut, softened by the creamy sweetness of benzoin.
The scent fingerprint
Weighted by intensity across 20 accords.
Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

It is the olfactory equivalent of standing inside a grain barn on a cool autumn afternoon, the air thick with the smell of husked cereal and dusty dried flowers.
The dry-down introduces vetiver and amberwood, which give the composition a slightly smoky depth, followed by a quiet suggestion of cinnamon and tobacco that keeps the warmth from becoming cloying. This was a limited-edition release from the English Fields collection, and it shows a more rustic, experimental side of Jo Malone London. It sits close to the skin and belongs to people who find comfort in the unglamorous specificities of the natural world.
