By the editors · 2 min readWisteria & Lavender, part of the 2020 Lavenderland set, treats lavender as a soft floral rather than the crisp aromatic the herb usually plays. The opening is calm and sun-warmed — fields rather than apothecary.
The heart pairs wisteria's grape-honey lift with heliotrope's almond-vanilla powder, smoothing lavender into something cloud-like. The herb never sharpens; this is the gentlest treatment Jo Malone has given it.
White musk closes it cleanly, long-lasting only by JML standards. The whole effect is soft, slightly powdery, almost laundry-adjacent — a fragrance for quiet rooms and warm afternoons rather than statement wear. Layer with a sharper lavender if more bite is wanted.
