Weighted by intensity across 9 accords.

Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readThe opening of Wild Joop! is all pink peppercorn—bright, fizzing, slightly metallic—like champagne bubbles caught in resin. It snaps to attention immediately, sharper and more focused than the original Joop!'s plummy haze, then quickly gives way to something warmer and stranger.

The rum accord dominates the heart and drydown, thick and caramelized but not particularly boozy. It reads more like burnt sugar with a faint molasses edge, sweet without being cloying, grounded by something vaguely woody that keeps it from tipping into gourmand territory. The contrast between the crisp pepper and the sticky, ambered rum creates an odd tension—part spice cabinet, part dessert bar.

This is Joop! stripped of its powdery violet softness and rebuilt around a simpler, more masculine sweetness. It wears young and loud, designed for cold weather and confident gestures. The rum note lingers stubbornly on skin, projecting for hours before finally settling into a faint vanilla-tinged warmth.
