By the editors · 2 min readThe opening is a plush wave of vanilla sharpened by clove—warm and almost narcotic, with none of the timid sweetness that defines lesser vanilla scents. This is tobacco-stained and unapologetically heavy, a gourmand filtered through darker, smokier references. The clove bites just enough to keep it from collapsing into pure dessert.

As it settles, tonka and rum deepen the sweetness while leather and tobacco pull it earthward. There's a boozy, lived-in quality here—think old wooden bars and worn leather satchels rather than polished luxury. The narcissus adds a subtle floral haze that softens the edges without feminizing the composition.

This is vanilla for those who find most vanilla fragrances too polite. Dense, long-lasting, and unabashedly retro in spirit, it suits cold evenings and anyone drawn to scents that feel like inherited rituals rather than fleeting trends.
