By the editors · 2 min readNoir Exquis opens with orange — a bright, zesty entry that doesn't linger long before orange blossom takes over in the heart, transitioning from fresh citrus to the richer, more narcotic floral. Coffee arrives alongside it: not the sharp, roasted coffee of masculine fragrances but a softer, rounder version that melds with the orange blossom into something warm and slightly heady.

The base — tonka bean, sandalwood, vanilla, heliotrope — is warm and powdery. Heliotrope adds its characteristic almond-cherry blossom softness; tonka and vanilla provide sweetness without becoming cloying. The transition from coffee-orange blossom to heliotrope-vanilla is seamless.

A sophisticated gourmand built on warmth and depth rather than sugar. Winter material, made for wearing close.
