By the editors · 2 min readThree roses braided through pink pepper. The opening crackles for a few minutes — a dry, faintly sweet pepper that reads more confectionary than culinary — before the florals step forward.
The heart is a duet rather than a soliloquy: ylang lays down a creamy banana-tinged warmth that lets the rose drift into a softer, almost honeyed register. It's a powdered rose, not a dewy one, and stays close to the skin.
The drydown is the longest act, settling into moss, sandalwood, amber and Virginia cedar. Pleasant for daywear, office-safe, with a slight herbal-woody dryness from the cedar that keeps the sweetness in check.
