By the editors · 2 min readCitrus opens briefly — a formality before labdanum takes over as the centerpiece. The labdanum reads as the Voyage en Méditerranée collection describes it: simultaneously animalic, sweet, balsamic, and slightly leathery, with a complexity that unfolds slowly across the first hour. Benzoin deepens the resin; vanilla sweetens the trail without pushing it into gourmand territory.
This is the most orientalized release in the collection — a departure from the house's typical Mediterranean freshness. It commits fully to the warmth of Seville labdanum and does not soften the resin for accessibility. Longevity is the main event.
