Aqua Bella
Aqua Bella opens on mint and lemon — a sharp, almost stinging brightness that telegraphs a cold-weather aquatic on its way to being a warm-weather fougère.

By the editors · 2 min readAqua Bella opens on mint and lemon — a sharp, almost stinging brightness that telegraphs a cold-weather aquatic on its way to being a warm-weather fougère. The first twenty minutes belong to the citrus.
The heart settles unexpectedly soft: jasmine, pink pepper, and peony. The pepper bridges the cool top to the warmer base; the florals are kept on a low flame, more suggestion than statement.
The base is where the perfume earns its name, sort of — brown sugar, labdanum, and cedar pull the cool opening into something cozy and resinous. The contrast between minty top and sticky-amber drydown is the most interesting move here.
