By the editors · 2 min readThe opening is surprisingly aromatic and bright—rosemary and grapefruit meet cardamom in a crisp, almost athletic freshness that sidesteps the usual marine tropes Lacoste sometimes favors. It feels clean without veering into soapiness, the spice adding warmth that keeps it from being purely citric.

As it develops, tuberose and ylang-ylang soften the edges with a white floral richness that feels subdued rather than heady. These aren't pushed to their creamy extremes; they blend into the composition like a well-pressed shirt—polished but not precious. The effect is more refined than overtly sensual.

The base settles into leather and suede with vetiver grounding the whole structure. It's a dry, tactile finish that recalls quality goods rather than raw hide—think soft calfskin rather than biker jacket. The overall impression is of a fragrance that knows how to dress well without trying too hard, suited to warm-weather evenings where formality is optional but appreciated.
