By the editors · 2 min readA bright, fruit-forward flanker that opens with a tart rush of raspberry and blackcurrant, softened almost immediately by ripe pear. The effect is juice-bar fresh rather than syrupy, kept in check by the sharpness of the berries. Within minutes, magnolia and peony emerge, their watery green florals tempering the fruit without overwhelming it. The rose here is polite, more suggestion than statement.
As it settles, blackberry and musk create a soft, slightly hazy base that blurs the edges of everything above it. The musk is clean and modern, the kind that disappears into skin rather than announces itself. What remains is a diffuse sweetness, pleasant and uncomplicated.
This is Lalique's *Amethyst* made younger and more casual—less about sophistication, more about approachability. It suits warm weather and easy days, the kind of fragrance that won't challenge anyone but manages to feel cheerful without tipping into cloying.
