By the editors · 2 min readLa Vie Est Belle l'Eau de Parfum Intense takes the original's iris-patchouli-praline skeleton and pushes every element into higher contrast. The opening hits harder — blackcurrant and iris immediately, almost jammy — before the heart's orange blossom and jasmine arrive in a deeper, wetter register than the standard EDP.
The base is the familiar La Vie est Belle drydown on a loud setting: tonka-vanilla-praline with the patchouli more prominent and the sweetness less powdery. Longevity is excellent, sillage confidently loud for the first two hours. A cold-weather, evening-weighted fragrance. Those who find the original too soft or too pink will find this a proper upgrade; those who thought the original was already sweet enough will find this suffocating.
