By the editors · 2 min readPart of Lancôme's Maison collection, Pivoines Printemps is a garden-oriented composition built around peony and rose. Blackcurrant, mandarin, and pink pepper open with tart brightness — the pink pepper lending gentle spice rather than asserting itself, the blackcurrant keeping the fruity top from turning sentimental. The floral heart is the composition's center of gravity: peony accord and rose absolute, soft and luminous, constructed to read as a single unified floral note rather than a contrast.
Patchouli in the base provides an earthen underpinning and ambrette seed a faintly musky warmth that prolongs the floral without altering its character. A restrained spring fragrance designed to wear close to the skin, intended as a personal rather than a room-filling experience.
