By the editors · 2 min readKhalis Oudi opens with cinnamon and nutmeg — warm spice with immediate depth, no citrus buffer to soften the arrival. The spice calms into a heart of sandalwood and jasmine, where the floral adds a quiet femininity to the woody core. The dry-down settles into guaiac wood, amber, vanilla, cedar, and musk: the rich oriental cushion typical of Gulf oud tradition.
Despite the name, agarwood isn't listed among the notes — this reads more as a guaiac-smoky composition than a true oud treatment, the smoke effect coming from guaiac's characteristic dark woodiness. The amber-vanilla base is generous and long-wearing. Best in cool weather for evening and date situations.
