By the editors · 2 min readVeleno Doré pours rum and nutmeg over a patchouli heart and lets amber and vanilla close the door behind. The opening is alcohol-warm rather than sweet — boozy in the same way a glass on a side table is boozy, before the first sip.
Patchouli does the lifting in the middle, head-clearing and slightly bitter, and the amber-vanilla base finishes the composition warm and round without turning into dessert. A short-noted structure that punches above its weight.
Distinctly evening, distinctly cold-weather. Wears close, smells expensive, doesn't try to be clever.
