By the editors · 2 min readSaffron lands first, its leathery, hay-like dryness crackling over cool cardamom and bittersweet clary sage that arrive within minutes. The spices ride a sheer, slightly salty breeze created by the sage, keeping the opening crisp rather than opulent. As skin warms, sandal cedar and dry vetiver push forward, their blond wood shavings streaked with faint musk and the cool green snap of oakmoss. The base arc is linear: the saffron never fully departs, it simply sinks into the vetiver-moss layer, turning the base matte and smoky like graphite dust on a workshop floor. Projection stays within arm’s length for six hours, making it an easy office reach in cool spring or fall weather.
