By the editors · 2 min readAlamut opens with a white floral haze that feels simultaneously bright and shadowed—jasmine and osmanthus lend honeyed sweetness, while something darker already pulses beneath. This is not the clean, soapy white floral of hotel lobbies but something more ambiguous, almost narcotic in its richness. The tuberose arrives with buttery weight, reinforced by ylang-ylang's banana-skin creaminess and orange blossom's indolic depth.

As it settles, sandalwood and leather emerge to anchor the composition in earthier territory. The leather never dominates; instead it gives structure, a kind of tanned skin warmth that keeps the florals from floating away. Benzoin and amber add resinous sweetness, while patchouli contributes a soft, woody shadow.

The result is a portrait of white flowers caught between light and dusk—opulent but never quite decadent, with enough sandalwood and leather to feel grounded rather than perfumey. Alamut suits those drawn to complex florals that reveal something deeper, stranger, more contemplative than simple beauty.
