By the editors · 2 min readWith orris as the only listed top note, the opening is dry, carroty and slightly powdery from the first moment. There is no citrus to brighten things and no green to broaden the entrance.
The heart is essentially silent on the pyramid, so the iris simply continues to develop. It thins slightly as the top oils evaporate and what reads underneath is the early lift of the base. The transition is barely perceptible.
Moss, oud and ambergris close out the composition. The oud is restrained, mossy notes give the base a damp, slightly forested edge, and ambergris contributes a warm marine-mineral undertone. Overall the arc is a sparse iris-into-woody-animalic — minimalist, slow-moving, more meditation than performance.
