The scent fingerprint
Weighted by intensity across 12 accords.
Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readThe opening is a lone, fizzy ginger lift, dry and slightly soapy, that reads more like a calligraphic stroke than a full overture. There is no fruit or citrus to soften it.
Vetiver takes the middle almost immediately, smoky and grassy at once, the ginger fading quickly into the green-earth corridor it sets up. The composition reads minimalist and architectural rather than layered, focused on a single mood.
Leather, cedar and patchouli build the base into a tactile dry-wood-and-hide close, animalic at the edges without going feral. Overall the character is a stark, masculine-leaning leather-vetiver study, restrained in projection and best suited to cool-weather wear and serious occasions.
