By the editors · 2 min readLemon and clary sage open together, the citrus zesty and the sage herbal and slightly muscat-sweet. The first impression is sun-baked and Mediterranean, with an immediate sense of dry hillside air.
Thyme deepens the heart with a sharper herbal bite, the sage and thyme together evoking crushed leaves underfoot. There is little distinction between top and middle, with the herbaceous theme holding the centre throughout.
The base is a single cedar note, dry and pencil-sharp, lending a minimalist woody backbone under the lingering herbs. The overall character is a stripped-down aromatic woody, austere and quietly textured, more sundrenched garrigue than barbershop polish, with a meditative pace from start to finish.
