By the editors · 2 min readAmbre Intense opens with saffron and rose — the saffron sharp and metallic, the rose softer and warmer. The two notes establish an oriental floral opening.
Sandalwood, cedar, and patchouli in the heart build a woody-earthy structure. The patchouli adds dark depth; cedar is dry and linear; sandalwood provides creaminess. The transition from the floral-spiced top to this earthy middle is the composition's key arc.
White musk, labdanum, amber, and vanilla in the base produce a warm, resinous, golden drydown. Labdanum is richly honeyed-animalic; amber deepens and extends. The overall effect is a warm, deep amber-oriental — amber in the deepest sense, layered and persistent.
