By the editors · 2 min readBlack pepper and bergamot open with a clean, spiced brightness, nutmeg adding a warm graininess underneath. The opening is sharp but not aggressive, moving quickly into the heart.
Clary sage and sage together with iris and lily form a cool, aromatic-floral core. The iris carries a powdery, slightly rooty quality, and the sages keep the composition herbal rather than sweet at this stage.
Tonka bean, vanilla, sandalwood, and cedar anchor the base in a warm, softly sweet drydown. Orris deepens the powdery quality. The overall structure is spiced-aromatic up top, powdery-floral in the middle, and sweetly woody at the base — a coherent evening masculine with measured sweetness.
