By the editors · 2 min readBlack currant, orange, and bergamot open together — a fruity-citrus accord with the black currant contributing a tart, slightly dark fruitiness against the brighter citrus notes. The opening is lively and a little juicy.
Oakmoss, vanilla, and musk form the base — the oakmoss adding a green earthiness that creates a soft chypre structure, while vanilla and musk keep the final stages approachable and warm. The transition from fruity opening to mossy-sweet base is the main structural movement.
The dry-down is a mossy-vanilla accord with residual fruit. This is a relatively conventional fruity-chypre template, pleasant and unassuming. The black currant gives the opening some life before the mossy base takes over.
