By the editors · 2 min readMint and sage open with garden-herb freshness that reads clean, if slightly utilitarian. Bergamot provides structure. The turn in the heart is the interesting part: caramel and papyrus join the marine and green tea accord, producing an effect that reads warmer than watery. Lotus provides aquatic diffusion without leaning too ozonic.
The base settles into Australian sandalwood, vanilla sugar, and amber — soft and warm, a significant departure from the herbal opening. This is a fragrance with a clear trajectory: green and fresh at the start, steadily warmer and sweeter over time. A spring or summer fragrance suitable for outdoor wear. Not typical for the Montale oud line — part of the house's softer, fresher register.
