By the editors · 2 min readPetitgrain and bergamot open cleanly, delivering a crisp, slightly woody citrus that fades relatively fast. There is a dry, green sharpness to this opening that feels understated rather than bright.
Lavender dominates the heart, and it reads as the backbone of the entire composition. It is more herbal than floral here, grounded immediately by vetiver and patchouli pulling upward from the base, giving the lavender an earthy, rooty quality.
Oud and labdanum deepen the dry-down considerably — the oud is dry and slightly leathery rather than sweet, and tonka adds a gentle almond-like softness at the edges. This is a dark, grounded lavender with real base weight.
