By the editors · 2 min readEssences 01 opens with melon, pear, magnolia, peach, and bergamot — a broad, generous fruity-floral opening that reads lush and slightly soft. Magnolia grounds the fruit with floral substance early.
Tuberose, jasmine, plum, lily of the valley, freesia, violet, and rose form one of the fuller floral hearts in the mid-range category. Plum adds dark fruitiness to a register otherwise occupied by bright, clean white florals. The combination is complex but risks softening into a pleasant blur.
Cedar, blackberry, and musk finish with woodiness and a tart berry note that adds surprise. The blackberry gives an unusual darkness to an otherwise very feminine, floriferous composition.
