By the editors · 2 min readGalbanum opens with a snap — bitter-green and cool before bergamot softens it into a familiar sunlit warmth. Then comes the heart, which is abundant: gardenia stretches wide and waxy, violet and iris thread through with a powdery grace, and tonka lends a quiet gourmand warmth that keeps the florals from becoming too airy. Virginia cedar and lavender push structure into the middle register, preventing the whole from collapsing into sweetness. The dry-down is unhurried — sandalwood and amber wrap the remaining florals in a skin-close warmth that lasts well into the evening. A Brazilian floral oriental shaped for comfort: generous, clean-smelling, and unhurried in its development.
