O Boticário
Onde tem amor, tem beleza
Founded in 1977 by pharmacist Miguel Krigsner in a small drugstore in Curitiba, O Boticário grew into Brazil's largest beauty franchise system and one of the most important fragrance houses in Latin America. The company operates as both a manufacturer and a retail franchisor, with thousands of stores across Brazil and a catalog spanning everyday florals to ambitious oriental compositions. The fragrance line is notable for its breadth and regional specificity: many compositions are formulated with Brazilian heat in mind, favoring moderate projection and approachable sweetness. Anchor franchises include Malbec (wine-inspired masculine), Zaad (spicy oriental), Floratta (accessible feminine), and the premium The Blend. External perfumers contribute alongside in-house teams. Grupo Boticário also owns Quem Disse, Berenice? and other brands, positioning O Boticário as the flagship of a broader beauty group.
DNA over time
Each column is an era. Each colored band shows that family’s share of accord weight across every perfume the house released in that window. Bigger band = the house leaned harder on that family.
