By the editors · 2 min readJasmine, orange and rose open in an almost-floral-cocktail arrangement, with the orange functioning more as a sweetening agent than a citrus accent. The opening reads warm and slightly indolic.
Tonka enters quickly as the only listed heart note, and its coumarin warmth fuses the white florals into a sweeter, more honeyed accord. The middle is short and direct, almost a bridge into the base rather than a separate movement.
Sandalwood, tobacco, musk and coffee close out the composition. Coffee adds a bitter-roasted edge that cuts through the sweetness, tobacco contributes a dry-leaf warmth, and sandalwood smooths everything. Overall the arc is an unusual floral-gourmand-tobacco hybrid, denser and stranger than the short pyramid suggests, with a lingering animal undertone.
