By the editors · 2 min readRêve d'Ossian opens with the austere clarity of cold incense, immediately meditative, before warm resins begin to gather beneath. This is not church frankincense but something drier, faintly smoky, establishing a contemplative mood from the first breath.

The heart unfolds with surprising richness: tonka and benzoin lend honeyed depth while cinnamon and guaiac add a spiced, woody backbone. Opoponax weaves through with its sweet, balsamic character, creating a composition that feels both ancient and deliberately composed. The effect is enveloping without becoming cloying, balancing sweetness against wood smoke.

As it settles, sandalwood and leather emerge alongside amber and labdanum, grounding the perfume in a soft, animalic warmth. The musk base holds everything close to skin rather than projecting loudly. This suits someone drawn to resinous, incense-led fragrances with enough complexity to hold interest through a long wearing—contemplative rather than ceremonial, introspective rather than grand.
