By the editors · 2 min readRosemary, saffron and bergamot open with a contrasting top — herbal sharpness against saffron's leathery glow, with bergamot bridging. The opening reads complex and a little theatrical from the first minute.
The heart is dense: tuberose, jasmine, ylang-ylang, iris and rose stacked together. Iris pushes the bouquet toward powder, the white florals add cream, and rose holds the centre. The middle behaves like a classical chypre-floral chord rather than a modern arrangement.
The base is enormous — tonka, sandalwood, oakmoss, civet, vetiver, benzoin, amber, vanilla, heliotrope, patchouli, suede and musk. The animalic-powdered-resin combination drives a warm, plush drydown with a slightly retro signature.
