By the editors · 2 min readCoconut opens creamy and tropical, its lactonic sweetness amplified by raspberry's tart brightness while saffron threads a metallic, leathery edge through the fruit. Tonka bean arrives as a soft almond-coumarin bridge, smoothing the transition from gourmand topnotes into the darker base. Leather dominates the dry-down, rugged and birch-tar sharp, yet vanilla keeps it supple by folding in a custard-like sweetness that prevents the hide from turning harsh. Oud adds a medicinal, band-aid smokiness that clings to the leather rather than standing alone, creating a single tanned-animal accord. Projection stays within arm's length for six to eight hours, projecting best in cool evening air when the leather-oud pairing can warm against skin without the coconut turning cloying.
