By the editors · 2 min readTonka bean lands first, its hay-like coumarin sheen dusted with crystalline caramel that sticks to peach fuzz, creating a glossy, almost lacquered fruit coating. The heart pulls the sweetness inward: almond and praline fuse into a marzipan thickness that mutes the peach and lets a toasted nut husk emerge, warm and slightly powdery. In the base, rum splinters the accord, its molasses edge cutting through cocoa’s dark cake crumb and letting musk stretch the gourmand texture into a soft, tan suede. Projection stays within arm’s length for six hours, then collapses to a skin-nuzzling puff of cocoa-dusted tonka. Cool fall evenings and low-lit cafés suit its edible glow.
