By the editors · 2 min readPink pepper and bergamot open with a brief citrus-pepper sparkle, but the heart arrives quickly and dominates. Incense, frankincense and olibanum together form a thick smoky resinous chord that essentially defines the entire perfume.
This dense incense character holds for a long stretch with little internal movement. The smoke is dry and slightly bitter rather than sweet, evoking a temple rather than a candle shop.
Sandalwood adds creamy depth in the base, vetiver contributes dry rooty earth, and suede smooths the structure into a polished warmth. Overall the character is a meditative incense-led woody with quiet leather softness underneath. Projection is moderate and the long drydown sits as a dry smoky skin scent that lingers for hours.
