The scent fingerprint
Weighted by intensity across 12 accords.
Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readCivet charges the opening with raw, almost gasoline-like musk that feels wet and leathery rather than sweet. Oakmoss creeps in within minutes, folding its bitter green dustiness around the civet and drying the accord to a cool forest-floor texture. Osmanthus adds a brief apricot-skin nuance in the heart, yet the flower stays muffled under the double dose of civet and moss, so the transition smells more like dried leaves on fur than bloom. The base keeps the moss-civet duet alive, now backed by clean white musk that flattens projection but lets the animalic resin linger close to skin for hours. Sillage stays reserved, projecting only in personal-space radius; wear works best under cool fall coats where the mossy leather can warm without turning sour.
