By the editors · 2 min readRum and blood orange open with a boozy-citrus flash that feels almost candied, the fermented sugar of the rum heating the zest into a caramelized edge. Within minutes the heart slides into osmanthus and orange blossom; the tiny apricot leather nuance of osmanthus folds into the rum’s molasses while orange blossom soap keeps the silhouette bright. Rose arrives only as a transparent puff, enough to give the white petals a rounded center. The dry-down is dominated by sandalwood and patchouli: the sandalwood is dry and lactonic, the patchouli earthy rather than syrupy, both lacquered by labdanum’s ambery sheen and the clean musk-cashmeran glow. Projection stays at arm’s length for six hours, then settles to a skin-warmed woody amber that reads cozy rather than loud; ideal for cool autumn nights, casual dinners, or low-lit travel lounges.
