By the editors · 2 min readGardenia opens the composition front and center, paired with lily and ylang-ylang. The gardenia reads creamy and slightly mushroom-tinged, the lily cool and waxy, the ylang lending a tropical-banana warmth. There is no citrus or green to mediate them.
The heart deepens the gardenia further, with Madagascar vanilla sweetening from below — softening rather than candying. The flowers maintain their indolic-creamy character throughout, with no fruity or aldehydic facets.
The drydown introduces leather, smooth and slightly animalic, alongside cashmeran's velvet-musky warmth. The leather grounds the white florals and adds a darker echo. The overall character is a rich, creamy gardenia soliflore with a leather-vanilla cushion — feminine, projecting comfortably, and pitched for cool-weather evening wear with a sultry rather than fresh register.
