The scent fingerprint
Weighted by intensity across 25 accords.
Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readManhattan wears its inspiration obliquely. Lavender and basil open with a herbal-aromatic quality that shifts when the heart introduces jasmine and may rose, softened by coconut and heliotrope into something rounder than the house's earlier chypre templates. The base is where character concentrates: tobacco, cinnamon, and pink pepper give a dry, spiced warmth over oakmoss and patchouli, lending a brooding quality to what began as a fresher exercise. Vanilla and benzoin soften the edges without sweetening the whole. Dense for a 2022 release, it draws on the urban masculine tradition without abandoning the floral complexity that defines the broader catalog.
