By the editors · 2 min readEau de Foudre Privé N°1 works with just four notes: myrrh, iris, vanilla, and musk. Myrrh opens with a resinous, slightly smoky quality that settles into the iris—here dry and rooty rather than powdery—before vanilla and musk soften everything toward skin.
This is a minimal, close-wearing composition. The myrrh-iris pairing is its most interesting feature: the resin warms the iris's cool character, creating a moderate tension between austerity and softness. Vanilla keeps the base from feeling stark or medicinal. Low projection and spare ingredients limit complexity, but the accord is coherent. A quiet, contemplative fragrance for close encounters.
