By the editors · 2 min readPineapple, ylang-ylang, and black currant open together — an unusual combination. The pineapple provides tropical brightness, the ylang-ylang adds a heady yellow-floral sweetness, and the black currant contributes a dark fruity tartness. The combination is unexpected and slightly provocative.
Tonka bean, sandalwood, benzoin, amber, and vanilla form the base — a dense, warm foundation that transforms the fruity-floral opening into something more rounded and enveloping. The benzoin's sweet resinousness blends with the tonka and vanilla.
The dry-down is a warm, sweet amber with sandalwood creaminess — the fruit and ylang-ylang traces adding an exotic quality above the base. Full and rich, with genuine character in its top-note combination.
