By the editors · 2 min readGinger and bergamot open sharp and lemony, with the cool zing of ginger reading more candied than raw. The citrus is brief, giving way quickly to a herbal middle where basil cuts a green, slightly anisic line across powdery violet.
Violet and basil together pull the composition toward an aromatic-fougere shape rather than a true floral. Tonka, amber, and cedar form the base, with vetiver lending a clean, smoky-grassy spine. Tonka softens the wood with a creamy hay sweetness; amber rounds the edges.
Overall character is a fresh-spicy aromatic woody — masculine-coded, restrained, and office-friendly. Sillage stays moderate, longevity lands in the middle band, and the dry-down keeps a powdery violet softness that distinguishes it from a generic fougere.
