Weighted by intensity across 17 accords.
Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readVele — sails in Italian — opens with a single, clean fig note before the heart unfolds into a four-floral arrangement of jasmine, ylang-ylang, rose, and heliotrope. The heliotrope is the key: a powdery almond-floral that softens the jasmine's indolic intensity and keeps the ylang from becoming tropical excess. What results is a white floral that reads as warm and nautical simultaneously, as if the flowers have been left in the sun on deck.
The base of amber, vanilla, and musk is the standard luxury anchor — warm, sweet, lasting — and Tiziana Terenzi deploys it well here, giving Vele a drydown that turns gourmand without abandoning the floral character. It's a crowd-pleasing formula executed with Italian craftsmanship and genuine sillage.
