The spice feels restrained rather than loud, tempering the sweetness of the amber without overwhelming it.
As it settles, the woods take over. Sandalwood rounds out the sharper edges of the cedars, creating a foundation that's both clean and substantial. The two cedar varieties—Atlas and Virginia—give it a pencil-shaving dryness that keeps the composition from turning too smooth or polished.
