By the editors · 2 min readA vivid fruity-floral that announces itself confidently. Raspberry, pink pepper, lemon, and grapefruit create a buzzing, tart-sweet opening with real dynamism; the pepper preventing the fruit from reading as merely sweet. Iris and rose settle the heart into soft powdery-floral territory — the iris adding its characteristic cool dustiness. The base is more nuanced than the opening suggests: sandalwood, vetiver, patchouli, and amber ground the brightness into something warmer and more lasting, tonka bean adding coumarin warmth. Lychee and pear in the wider note palette hint at additional fruit complexity. An ambitious composition in a prestige American fashion-house register, well above the entry-level.
