A green-citrus opening: yuzu sharper than lemon, basil sitting just behind it, bergamot giving the whole top a familiar Italian-cologne shape.

By the editors · 2 min readA green-citrus opening: yuzu sharper than lemon, basil sitting just behind it, bergamot giving the whole top a familiar Italian-cologne shape. It reads aromatic before it reads gourmand.
The heart pivot is the interesting part — tobacco and coffee come up while the citrus is still around, so for a stretch the perfume is doing two unrelated things at once. The bitter-leaf side wins out.
The drydown is mostly clean white musk, surprisingly soft after that middle. The arc lands closer to skin than the opening would suggest. Cool-weather workday wear; rewards a tester before commitment.
