By the editors · 2 min readStar-musk opens with a resinous amber warmth that feels almost tactile, like sun-warmed skin layered with fine incense. The ambergris gives it an animalic salinity that prevents sweetness from taking over too quickly. Within minutes, spices emerge—cinnamon and clove threading through creamy sandalwood—but they're muted, almost whispered, never sharp.

The heart settles into a dense, velvety composition where iris adds a subtle powderiness to the wood and musk base. Patchouli and vetiver provide earthy ballast without turning the scent dark or heavy. As it dries down, vanilla and benzoin soften the edges further, while opoponax lends a balsamic richness that keeps the musk from feeling too clean or modern.

This is intimate warmth rather than projective glamour—a skin scent that feels expensive without announcing itself. It suits those who want something enveloping and comforting, with enough complexity to reward attention but never demanding it.
