Weighted by intensity across 4 accords.

Every perfume in Sillage is represented as a distribution across canonical accord slugs — a lingua franca for scent. Two fragrances with overlapping fingerprints are scent-twins, even if they share no literal note.

By the editors · 2 min readBody Kouros opens with a blast of resinous incense cut by sharp, medicinal eucalyptus—an austere, almost ceremonial introduction that feels more temple than skin. The duality is immediate and striking: smoke and menthol, warmth and coolness held in uneasy balance.

As it settles, clary sage emerges with its herbal bitterness, grounding the composition in something earthier and less dramatic. The eucalyptus fades but doesn't disappear entirely, leaving a faint coolness beneath the sage's green roughness. Benzoin in the base adds just enough sweetness to soften the edges without turning comforting—this stays lean and angular.

This is Kouros stripped of its animalic weight and dressed in ascetic robes. It suits someone drawn to fragrance that refuses to seduce, preferring instead to evoke stone floors, herbal tonics, and the smell of wool after rain. Uncompromising and deliberately spare.
